About SDIC Granular
Sodium dichloroisocyanurate — also written NaDCC or dichlor — is a stabilised chlorine donor supplied as a white granule. It is one of the standard sanitiser chemistries used in swimming pools, potable water treatment and general water disinfection. We supply it in 56% and 60% available-chlorine grades and in two particle sizes, packed for both site use and bulk handling.

Handling & storage
Store below 30 °C in a dry, ventilated area, away from acids, ammonium salts, calcium hypochlorite and organic material. Never mix with other chlorine products. Use dry scoops only and keep containers sealed. Refer to the safety data sheet supplied with the consignment before handling or use.

- They are three different chlorine chemistries. SDIC and TCCA are chlorinated isocyanurates and are stabilised, meaning they contain cyanurate; calcium hypochlorite is unstabilised and contains calcium instead. They differ in available chlorine, in how quickly they dissolve and in whether their solution is acidic or alkaline — the typical values for each are published on its product page. Which one suits a given installation is a decision for the person responsible for that water system.

SDIC granular is a loose white granule in 56% and 60% available-chlorine grades, in two particle sizes, 8–30 mesh and 20–60 mesh, and is also supplied as a 60% powder. SDIC tablets are the same chemistry pressed into fixed weights, from 1 g effervescent up to 200 g slow-dissolve. Small effervescent tablets are used for point-of-use and portable water disinfection; larger plain tablets dissolve slowly and are used in floaters, skimmers and erosion feeders. Which form suits a given installation is a decision for the person technically responsible for that water system.
