Terms & conditions of sale

The commercial terms on which RNJ Trading FZE quotes for and supplies chemicals. Last updated 31 August 2026.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms govern every quotation issued by, and every sale made by, RNJ Trading FZE (“RNJ Trading”, “we”, “us”) to a business customer (“you”). They apply unless we have signed a separate supply agreement with you that says otherwise. Any terms printed on your purchase order that conflict with these terms do not apply unless we have accepted them in writing.

2. Quotations

  • A quotation is an invitation to order, not a binding offer. A contract is formed when we accept your purchase order in writing.
  • Unless the quotation says otherwise, prices are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. Chlorine chemistry is a volatile commodity market and freight rates move with it, so we do not hold prices open indefinitely.
  • Quantities quoted are subject to stock being unsold at the time your order is accepted. Where a grade has to be imported, the lead time on the quotation is an estimate based on the sailing schedule current at that date.
  • An obvious clerical or pricing error in a quotation does not bind us; we will tell you promptly and reissue.

3. Prices, taxes and payment

  • All prices are quoted in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) and are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated. VAT is charged at the rate applicable on the tax point date.
  • Unless a credit account has been agreed in writing, payment is due in full before dispatch. Approved account customers pay to the terms stated on the invoice.
  • Overdue amounts may attract interest at the rate permitted by UAE law, and we may suspend further deliveries while an account is in arrears.
  • Title to the goods passes to you only on receipt of payment in full. Risk passes on delivery in accordance with clause 4.

4. Delivery

  • Domestic deliveries within the UAE are made to the address on the accepted order. Risk in the goods passes to you on unloading at that address.
  • Export consignments are sold on the Incoterms® 2020 rule stated on the quotation (commonly FOB, CFR or DAP). Risk passes as that rule provides.
  • You must give safe, lawful access for a vehicle carrying dangerous goods, and a competent person must be present to receive and sign for the consignment.
  • Delivery dates are estimates given in good faith. We are not liable for delay caused by matters outside our reasonable control — including port congestion, customs inspection, weather and carrier failure.
  • Shortages, damage or incorrect goods must be noted on the delivery note at the time of delivery and confirmed to us in writing within three working days. Sealed drums must not be opened before inspection if you intend to claim for damage in transit.

5. Specification, documentation and quality

  • Goods are supplied to the specification in the batch documentation issued for the material delivered. Figures published on this website are typical values for the grade, published so that a product can be identified. They are not a specification guarantee and do not form part of the contract.
  • The batch documentation and the current safety data sheet are supplied with the consignment. If you have not received them, ask for them before the goods are used.
  • Any quality claim must be raised within seven days of delivery, before the material is used or resold, and must be supported by a retained sample from the original sealed packaging.
  • Where a claim is upheld, our obligation is limited to replacing the non-conforming goods or refunding the price paid for them, at our option.

6. Returns

Chemicals are not returnable once they have left our warehouse unless the return is agreed in writing in advance. Because the storage history of returned oxidisers cannot be verified, we cannot resell them. Where we do agree to a return of unopened, in-date stock in original sealed packaging, a restocking charge and the return freight are payable by you.

7. Resale, export and regulatory compliance

  • You are responsible for holding any licence, permit or approval required to buy, store, transport, use, resell or export the goods in your jurisdiction.
  • Chlorinated isocyanurates and hypochlorites are controlled dangerous goods in most markets. You must not export or re-export them in breach of any applicable sanction, embargo or export control.
  • If you repack or relabel the goods, you become responsible for the accuracy and regulatory compliance of the new packaging and labelling, including GHS/CLP classification.

8. Product use — your responsibility

We supply chemicals. We do not control how they are stored, dosed, mixed or applied once they leave our warehouse, and those are the variables that determine whether they are safe and effective. Accordingly:

  • You are responsible for safe use. You must read the current safety data sheet in full before use, provide the personal protective equipment it specifies, and train everyone who handles the product.
  • Never mix chlorine chemistries. Combining calcium hypochlorite with a chlorinated isocyanurate (SDIC or TCCA), or contaminating either with water, acid, organic material or ammonium compounds, can cause fire or the violent release of chlorine gas.
  • We do not give dosing instructions. This website publishes no application rates, and no rate given informally by any member of our staff is a dosing instruction or a recommendation you may rely on. How much of a product to use depends on the volume, condition and temperature of the water, the equipment installed and the regulations applying to that installation. Dose according to the product label and the safety data sheet, verify the result, and take advice from whoever is technically responsible for the system.
  • Suitability is yours to determine. You must satisfy yourself that a product is fit for your intended application. Technical advice we give is offered in good faith and free of charge; it does not amount to a warranty of fitness for a particular purpose and does not transfer responsibility for the end use to us.
  • Storage and site compliance. You are responsible for storing the goods in accordance with the safety data sheet and with UAE Civil Defence and local authority requirements for the segregation and storage of oxidising and corrosive substances.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UAE law.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of contract, pool or facility downtime, or the cost of draining and refilling a body of water;
  • our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to the claim;
  • we are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to follow the safety data sheet, from mixing our products with other chemicals, or from use of the goods for a purpose we did not confirm in writing.

10. Website content

Everything published on rnjtrd.com — product descriptions, specification figures, pack formats and general notes — is provided so that you can identify a product and ask us to price it. It is not an offer to sell, not advice, and not a substitute for the batch documentation or the safety data sheet issued with a consignment.

In particular, and for the avoidance of doubt: the specification figures on this website are typical values for a grade and are not guaranteed; the website makes no representation about stock, availability, dispatch times or delivery times, all of which are confirmed only on a quotation for a specific order; and no certification, approval or registration is claimed by us in respect of ourselves or our business anywhere on this website. Where a particular grade carries an approval, that approval attaches to the material and its manufacturer, and we will tell you on request what documentation we are able to supply for it.

We may change the range and the published figures without notice. The content, branding and artwork on this site remain our property.

11. Force majeure

Neither party is in breach for a failure or delay caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, including act of God, war, civil unrest, epidemic, government action, port or border closure, or failure of a utility or transport network. If such an event continues for more than 60 days, either party may cancel the affected order without further liability.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Ajman. The courts of Ajman have exclusive jurisdiction, save that we may bring proceedings to recover sums due in any court of competent jurisdiction.
